Updates – What Has ThatFreeThing.com Been Working On?

We hope you had a great Holiday!

Our staff was taking a well deserved break to spend time with their families, which included our programming team, who got the entire month off to recharge and prepare for what we are planning to do in 2012.

To Recap the Year… 2011 was AWESOME!!!

We exceeded all expectations by doing nearly $3 Million in total sales, and with a price point of $10/month and $40 to join this is an incredible accomplishment.

We have over 40,000 upgraded members and almost 600,000 free members and we continue to grow by hundreds more per day all over the world.

We also have over 350 approved ThatFreeThing Vendors and we are getting ready to make some major announcements and improvements to this model. (stay tuned for more news on this)

With these kind of numbers we made a nice splash in the industry and although we would like to take credit for this, we can’t, because it was ALL YOU! (our members). You should be very proud of your marketing efforts to make this happen and we can’t thank you enough for believing in ThatFreeThing and our vision for this company.

This is only the tip of the iceberg, in 2011 we invested every dollar back into our software development, infrastructure and we put together an incredible support team that will help our company grow over the next 5-10 years and hopefully way beyond that.

TFT 2012 Outlook… Hold onto your hats!

We have some HUGE PLANS for 2012 that include many improvements to our existing programs as well as new profit centers for everyone to make a lot more money.

One of the biggest things we took away from 2011 was that we feel like we didn’t pay enough commissions given our membership size.

While we did pay nearly $2 Million to our members we think there’s a lot more to be made per member given the value that we offer.

So this year we are launching some big time value added services that we believe will increase commissions between 10 and 20 times and we couldn’t be more excited to be in the position we are right now.

Here are a few features we are bringing live within the next 90 days.

- New Location Based Deals Platform (almost finished)
- New Mobile integration for deals and freebies
- Daily Deal Emails (sent daily to all members and free members in the area)
- Updates to Vendor Platform with many additional value added services
- New Training and Marketing Tools

AND… Probably the biggest thing!

Something we are extremely excited about (first announced at our October 1st launch event) is our new ThatFreeThing Merchant Program. We have been approved to become our own ISO (Independent Sales Organization) to begin offering merchant services.

As a member of ThatFreeThing you will be able to sign up Vendors, or anyone else needing to process credit cards, under the ThatFreeThing umbrella. The rates will meet or beat just about every merchant in the industry and all commissions will be paid through the ThatFreeThing Organization.

THIS IS HUGE!!!!!

Can you imagine making a percentage of EVERY DOLLAR that rolls through EVERY business that is set up with us? This model is going to significantly boost commissions across the board and when you truly grasp the power of how much money this could bring you will approach every business owner that you know to get them to switch to the ThatFreeThing Merchant Account!

You will receive an update when this program is ready to go live, we expect it to be fully operational very soon!

As you can see we have some really big plans for 2012 and now that the Holiday Season is over we are back to work in a major way so you can expect to be hearing from us very often with new updates.
